The Exciting World of Advertising

Over ten years ago, I began my career in an advertising agency. Working with VIP actors and producing glamorous campaigns was thrilling. Imagine being part of a team that creates something impactful and widely seen. The advertising industry was shiny, dynamic, and full of excitement, and I loved every moment of it. The energy was contagious, the pace exhilarating, and each day brought new challenges and creative opportunities.

The Fast-Paced PR World

As I moved up in my career, I transitioned to a role as a consultant for PR agencies. This new position involved working with politicians, NGOs, and big corporations. It was a different world—one filled with high stakes and fast decisions. The pace was relentless, the pressure immense, and the hours long—from 8 am to 7 pm, often longer. While the work was exciting and creative, the constant stress took a toll on me. I felt like I was losing myself in the grind.

Every day was a race against time, filled with meetings, deadlines, and the need to be constantly "on." The thrill of creating impactful campaigns started to fade as the stress mounted. The office, once a place of excitement, began to feel like a cage. The work that once ignited my passion now drained my energy.

Hitting Burnout

After a few years, I hit my first major burnout. Sleepless nights and constant stress became my reality. Imagine lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep because your mind is racing with to-do lists and worries. Whenever I took time off, I felt my true self returning, but it was buried again when I went back to work. I realized that this wasn’t the life I wanted.

The burnout was a wake-up call. It made me see how disconnected I had become from my own needs and desires. I was so focused on my career that I neglected my health and well-being. The joy and passion I once had for my work were replaced by anxiety and exhaustion.

A Time for Change

Desperate for change, I took a month off and traveled to India to study yoga and meditation. This time was a turning point. I reconnected with my body, managed my stress, and began to heal. Imagine spending hours each day in meditation, learning to breathe, to be present, to listen to your inner self. I realized that while I loved my work as a consultant, the work environment needed to change.

India taught me the importance of balance and self-care. It was a journey inward, where I discovered the healing power of mindfulness and self-awareness. I learned that to be truly effective in my work, I needed to take care of myself first.

Starting My Own Business

In 2019, I decided to start my journey as a digital strategist and business consultant. I left the agency world behind, wrote a business plan, and applied for a founder loan from the government. Despite having a great plan, my application was rejected because they thought I was "too qualified" to leave the job market. Without financial support, I worked with a few clients and taught yoga and meditation to stay afloat. It was a tough period, but I kept going.

I kept repeating to myself - this is the only way - returning to employment is no option.

Starting my own business was both exciting and terrifying. I had to learn everything from scratch—how to manage finances, market my services, and build a client base. There were many sleepless nights and moments of doubt, but I knew this was the right path for me.

Facing Challenges

Then the pandemic hit. Yoga, a big part of my income, disappeared overnight. I was scared with only a couple of hundred euros in my bank account. Imagine waking up one day to find your main source of income gone, with no safety net. But I didn’t give up. I developed new services for my consulting clients and focused all my energy on my business. The need for an online presence became clear, and my business started to grow.

The pandemic was a period of uncertainty and adaptation. It forced me to think creatively and find new ways to connect with my clients. I realized that my business needed to be flexible and resilient to survive in a changing world.

Building My Vision

The early years of my business were hard, but they shaped me into the consultant and mentor I am today. I understand the loneliness, anxiety, and uncertainty of starting a business. These experiences motivate me to support you on your journey.

Building my business from the ground up taught me valuable lessons about resilience, innovation, and perseverance. I learned that setbacks are not failures but opportunities to grow and improve. Each challenge I faced made me stronger and more determined to succeed.

The Holistic Brand Method

Today, I’m proud to introduce the Holistic Brand Method. This method sees a brand as a whole, connected entity. It's not just about your brand's looks; it’s about your purpose, vision, strategies, and mindset. The CEO-Mindset is key—your energy and beliefs make your strategy and ideas work.

The Holistic Brand Method is about aligning every aspect of your business with your core values and vision. It’s about creating a brand that is authentic, cohesive, and impactful. Your mindset as a business owner is crucial—your confidence, focus, and passion drive your business forward

Your Path Ahead

To all the young founders here today, know that your journey will be full of challenges and curveballs. Embrace them all. Your vision and perseverance will carry you through the toughest times.

Remember: Building a business is a marathon, not a sprint.

There will be moments of doubt and difficulty, but remember why you started. Keep your vision clear and your goals in sight. Every step you take brings you closer to your dream.

Along my way, I learned:

  1. Mindset is Key: My training in yoga, meditation, and mindfulness helped me understand how to see beyond limiting beliefs and reframe them. Your mindset shapes your reality.

  2. Stay Flexible: Be willing to adjust your business model if needed. Flexibility allows you to adapt and grow, even in the face of challenges.

  3. Constant Learning: Never stop learning. The business world is always changing, and continuous learning is essential to stay ahead.

  4. You Don’t Have to Do This Alone: Get help from a coach or mentor. Having someone to guide you, provide feedback, and support you can make a huge difference.
